Well, this isn't as bad as the folks who got billed for thousands, but it still bites. I got my bill today, and they billed me for vavavoom, which I haven't had in over a month. I called. They said I'd called right on the 15th to change from vavavoom to basic voom, and they'd already charged me vavavoom for the month.

Now first of all, I remember I very specifically called BEFORE the billing cycle starts for this very reason. In fact a couple of days before just to be safe. But the CSR said their computer showed I called on the 15th. What am I going to do? I don't freaking record my phone calls. Well fine. Why didn't that other CSR inform me I'd already been charged for the month anyway? They turned off the programming the second I got off the phone. Hell, they probably turned it off while I was on the phone. But they didn't mind taking my money did they?

So now the rep said well next month, I'll be ok, and their computer showed they gave me a $40 credit. But that $40 credit is for something else, not for the difference between the vavavoom and voom pkg. I tried and tried to tell her, but no go. And why do I have to wait for next month's bill to see if they've squared it away and not botched it again? I want to be squared away now. What if I want to cancel before then, which I have a mind to do.

On top of it all, I have a sore throat and didn't want to waste any more breath. I'm sending this to wilt and let him handle it.

It's not a huge sum of money, I know. I just hate getting jerked around. When I was with d* I never had to worry about changing my programming. They always pro-rate, and they even let you do it via the web.

This billing cr*p, it ain't academic when it happens to you :(
