VOOM's Rush HD Enters into Agreement with Apparent Gravity Media for Exclusive High Definition Rights for Action-Adventure Sporting Events Sponsored by Red Bull

Extreme Sports Events in the World, Premieres Sunday, February 5
New York, January 2, 2006 - VOOM HD Network's Rush HD, the only channel devoted to 24-hour coverage of gravity-defying, action-adventure sports in breathtaking high definition, has acquired a package of fourteen action-adventure sports events from Apparent Gravity Media. The events, sponsored by Red Bull, range from paragliding and mountain hiking to freestyle motorcross and kayaking. The deal, for exclusive high definition rights for the US, was announced today by Mark DeAngelis, Vice President of Programming for Rush HD, and by George Krieger, President of Apparent Gravity Media. Rush HD is one of the VOOM HD Networks, the largest and most diverse suite of high-definition channels nationwide. VOOM HD Networks is currently available nationally on DISH Networks.
Coverage kicks-off, Sunday, February 5<SUP>th</SUP> at 8 PM, with the Red Bull X Alps, a 500-mile international paragliding and hiking adventure race from the Austrian Alps to Monaco. Other event highlights include, the Red Bull's Divide & Conquer II, a one-day adventure relay across the mountainous terrain of Southwest Colorado, airing Sunday March 5 at 8pm; and the Red Bull King of the Air II, a world-class kit surfing event from Hawaii on Sunday, March 26 at 8pm.

Last August, VOOM HD announced its distribution agreement with Echostar Communications to carry ten of the HD channels on its Dish Network, and soon to come in '06 are more of these special niche offerings. Since the launch, VOOM HD has gone on to produce groundbreaking original HD content for a wide variety of consumer interests ranging from a one-of-a-kind live memorabilia auction on Gallery HD to solidifying an acquisition agreement with Warner Brothers to amass the largest collection of horror films for Monsters HD. In October, VOOM HD solidified a co-production deal with Singapore to create mostly nonfiction niche programming. This new announcement for Rush HD confirms VOOM's commitment to growing and to investing in the brand's aggressive move into the marketplace.
