The VOOM ota is both digital and analog. The VOOM reciever, only
tunes digital channels. If you want analog, it will have to go
through your TV. If the TV has a HD Tuner, Great! If it doesn't, then
in order to view the locals HD, they'd have to be fed through the
VOOM box.

If you had no use for the DVI, the Installer wasn't wrong to take it
with him, and no you won't be charged for it at Deinstall. If you get
a different set and wish to try DVI, let us know and we'll send a
Tech out with one.

not sure where you get that it was ok for the tech to take the DVI cable i he didn't use it it belongs to the customer and the tech should have left it with him call anybody at install or voom and they will tell you the same thing cause when they are deinstall we have to report what parts are missing to them.

You are renting the equipment, correct?
Then the DVI wouldn't belong to you. Even if you owned the equipment,
if the DVI wasn't usable it would still go back with the tech. The
customer is supplied with what works. And the tech wrote what you are
connected with or should have on the Service Order. I've been on the
Voom program for a while and have not once heard of or spoken to a cx
who was billed for a missing cable at deinstall.

If I'm not mistaken, you work for voom right?

From what I understand, the problem is that a lot of the techs will take the dvi cable and sell it. They should leave everything that came in the box. You are after all renting it like you said. Why should someone pay rent on something that a tech is going to sell or voom is taking back???

Secondly, what if next week you decide to get a tv with dvi??? Why should you then have to buy a dvi cable that you are already paying to rent?!?!?!? Why should you even have to call voom to ask for another one?

Let me ask you this, if I send all my cables I'm not using back to voom or call the installer to pick them up, will voom discount anything off my monthly rental fee (even $1.00)? DVI cables are expensive after all. If not, and I'm just speaking for myself here, I would want to keep everything I'm paying rent for.

Again, I'm just speaking for myself here and this issue has nothing to do with me, but your answer just doesn't make any sense.

i have been in the voom program since it started with installs and i know for a fact and i confirmed it today that the DVI cables are to be left with customer even if they don't use them at the time of install they are a part of the equipment the customer might one day need them. and the tech will not make money by selling on ebay or where ever.
