[VOOM] Sunshine in stead of CNN/fn

[korsakov35]

Ok, now I finally have a reaoson to complain. What are they thinking
at v*? CNN/fn was available to everyone, and now they are movung a
channel that only can see a few of us in it's place. That's really
ridiculous.

There are enough national feeds available for distribution. Make a
choice for one of them, so we all can have a new channel, not just a
select few.

oh, by the way, Wilt, thanks fgor the help earlier in the year. Box
finally got replaced in the fall (but that wasn't vOom's fault).
And all problems were resolved after that.

just for anyone, thinking to get v*. have it now for over a year,
since november 2003, and after the initial hurdles, it's great.
Box is stable, software is much better. So, don't waste any more time
looking, just get it so you have something goo dto watch during the
cold winter days..

This was not VOOM's decision. CNN is no longer transmitting their
financial news channel. It was their decision. Neither satellites or
cable are carrying it as it isn't there.

Glad to hear you got everything ironed out with the STB and you are
loving VOOM. Yep, Wilt, can do wonders.

Still watching HDTV under slightly foggy Seattle skies (are we going
to be another San Francisco in a few years?), Gill

... correct. Unfortunately the timing of adding the sunshine network, which
is a regional channel, makes it look like they replaced a regional channel
with a regular channel. You and I know that's not the case but that's the
way it "looks like". The folks in Florida should be happy they just got
another channel.

Also, from what's being said, Florida is #1 in Voom subscriptions. I know we
have a few left coaster's but by far the numbers are east coast people for
some strange reason.

I am well aware of that. That was not the point. Point I made
was that a national feed got replaced, or will be replaced, by a
regional feed.
Early on, vOom stated that their plan was to give priority to
national feeds. Unfortunately for me, that seems to change. I know
there is a big movement to get the FSN's in place. But that can be
done through Rainbow 2. Let's now give national feeds a priority, so
all 35,000 can enjoy the new channel.
