Ive currently been waiting 4 weeks(pre-order) to upgrade to 811. Recently bought a 50v500a Hitachi lcd tv. Anyone running this combo or close to it? Love to hear from you!!! Ross

I'm feeding the 811 over DVI to a Panasonic 50" rp-lcd. Very nice. One thing you'll probably find is that the receiver set to 1080i looks much better than set to 720p (for most HD content) (ESPN being the exception).
It looks MUCH better than in the showroom, where sets are usually fed Direct TV HD. I've been looking at satellite pictures for several years, and there is no doubt in my mind that Direct TV compresses their HD channels much more than Dish.
I may bitch about Dish at times, but they do the right thing when it comes to premium content (i.e. compress it much less than other channels).
