What with this warning ?

To continue viewing this Ch. a new card must be installed by 04/06/05 Call 1-866-883-3820 for Questions or assistance.

I only get this error message on 495 and 496 when i try to record a future event.

Sounds like the card in your receiver is being turned off. You should probably have received a new card in the mail. What type of receiver is it?

It's a 721 the card was just swapped last month with the new yellow card for 721 and 921

Well, there is a number. Instead of playing the guessing game here, why don't you call and ask them?

I have heard the Indian programming has lost the blue card data stream. Now it looks like the adult data stream is going to be turned off. DISH is slowly approaching control of its data streams again.

First off i did call the 866 number they had no clue. Second i DO NOT have the Blue Card i have the new yellow. card for the 721 . I am waiting for a call back from Dish ATR support line ....

WHAT!!! They can't take the PrOn away!!! NOOOO!!!!!

:D

You guys realize that nothing, NOTHING, will stand inbetween a freeTVer and his/her pr0n.

Somewhere, some dude will be working 24/7 to get that porn back if they take it away. You know its true.

I give the new system about 6 months after its fully implemented before charlie realizes the amount of money he wasted swapping all those cards out.

Well.. I am new to this forum, and as an employee of dish, I am currently very.. very.. very afraid of how much you guys know about the inner workings. I have been reading this forum for a few weeks, and alot of your information is extreemly accurate. May I pray upon my soul that your call never gets to my desk.

Now as far as that 721 issue is concerned, those recievers are having all kinds of screwed up issues w/ the new smartcards. We finnaly got those recievers stable, and they get screwed with the yellow cards. I get at least 1 call a day on those 721's when it comes down to the international programming. It would not suprise me to see an emergency software release in the very near future.

He he, 'pig'general :D too funny.

Welcome Pig! Care to elaborate on anything else?

Ya, Pig, hit us with some 522 wisdom. Lay it on us, man.
And when you do, make sure your audio is in synch with
your lip movement! ;)

Its probably just a glitch since you already swapped to your new yellow card and the messages is probably meant for the blue cards.

I'm having the same issue. Called the number, and no one had any clue. They admitted I had the right card in there and all, and claimed the card was bad. Then they changed their mind and claimed the receiver was bad. Then they changed their mind and transferred me for the third time, so i gave up.

So what are you going to do ???

Never ever, ever, ever, disclose the fact that you work for 'X" company. Not from the NDA standpoint, but I can almost BET that your PM box will be already filling up with every little 'My receiver is doing this.. can you help me....' message.

It is an unforunate fact that if you build a better mousetrap, then the mice will get smarter and figure a way to get the cheese.(regarding programming theft)

It hurts the legitimate subbers like me and others here who pay $100.00+ per month for their programming.
For Davemanfl: To get back to the 365 code issue at hand... Have you tried to (powerbutton) soft reset the receiver? Unplug to reset the receiver? And as a last resort, remove/replace the yellow card.(dirty card/weak 721 spring contacts may cause your unit to do weird things). I know my 921 has sporadic issues with the card and possible 'static' buildup inside the unit.

It was recently suggested to me by a CSR that he has seen times where an index card cut to about the size of the smartcard and inserted with the card pushes it UP just enough to get a better contact. Of course, I don't recommend this for your problem, but I am passing it along as a possibility somewhere down the road.

I know PG has addressed the issue.

Do you also get(able to view) channel 199 or 579 CRDEX (card exchange) channel in your SUB channel list?

Just wondering.... If you can view that channel, maybe you could be getting a newer 'new' card. I'm just guessing. Anything is possible with these 'thangs. :what

I give it a lot longer. Nagra 1 wasn't really cracked, it was an internal leak I believe. The European pirates are still trying to crack Nagra 2, where it's been in service for a good while with no luck.
The pirates have also been working non-stop to crack Directv, and no real luck there either.

Since it's happening the EXACT same way to more than one person, I'm assuming it's actually a common issue that others just haven't noticed yet, and that it will get resolved at some point. I also assume it isn't a "faulty equipment" issue, but is some sort of software issue.

in the mean time, as long as it just sticks to the porn channels, doesn't bother me.

Maybe some more folks will respond to this thread, on-topic.
