We have two 622's only one has new software??

We have two 622 receivers. Both hooked up to phone lines. Our receiver upstairs does not have the new update dish is sending out. But our 622 downstairs has had the new software for at least a week now. My question is shouldnt they have both gotten the new software at the same time? If not is this normal. Thanks

Hey Brian!

I'm not the expert, but here is what I believe happened.
They began the rollout of 4.01. After a couple of blocks of "100,000" subscribers, they realized that there was a serious problem with the "Trick Plays" (frame by frame) and some other stuff.

They put a "hold" on an additional rollout untl they do more updates. I suspect that you will see 4.02 start to rollout very soon.

Until then you've gained a cool side-by-side PIP on one machine, but lost the Trick Plays. Hopefully, it will all be working soon.

BTW... All downloads come "over the air" from the satellite. They don't come by modem.
