what number are you calling to activate 622?

I got shot down my first try. They said that they could not activate my 622. Had to wait for install on 2/21. I have it hooked up already and am watching channel 101.
 
Still no luck

I called advanced tech support and the guy said if he activates it I'll be unhappy because it'll keep searching for the correct switch. I have a dish500 with only one cable to the receiver.

What if I hook up the cable going to my other TV to input 2?

You are going to need two feeds from your satellite to get a dual input DVR to work. Both inputs need to be the same configuration in terms of switch/lnbs, etc. If you have only one line (unless you have the Dishpro Plus that can send both feeds down a single cable), you are out of luck.
