where do my recordings go?

i have a dishdvr510 and I notice that some of my recordings get deleted. For instance Lord of the rings was just on TV, i recorded it, started watching the recording, stopped it, and then went to bed. When I got up the next morning it was gone. later that day it was on again, along with "the Two Towers". This time i recorded both and protected them. again LOTR:FotR is gone, plus others movies that I had recorded.

I currently have 75 hours available to record. plus I have already tried rebooting, and I've tried searching these forums the best I could to resolve this. And I dont have a phone line connected to the unit.

Have never seen this. When I sold off my old 510 it had recordings on it that were 2 years old.

Only time I've seen a recording disappear was when the drive filled up and it deleted the oldest, non-protected recording.
