Which dish will I need to get 129 / ciel2 in Virginia?

I currently have 110,119,61.5 on a dp44 ...

It looks like my locals may be on the way on 129, so I would like to be able to drop my 61.5, and not loose any HD content, by going to a single dish that includes ciel2?

I wouldn't fret yet, your HD locals are already on 61.5 like mine (Norfolk) & I'm in an Eastern Arc DMA. I don't see why Richmond wouldn't be also. They are doing nothing but testing Ciel 2 now & I don't suspect either of our locals to stay on it...

Thats great news .. I didn't realize they would be on 61.5 too. I keep thinking that it was all moving to the e-arc, so was trying to understand what I might need to do to prepare.

Anyways thx again.

No worries. I found myself intrigued when I saw the Norfolk MPEG4 channels go up on the new sat. I figure they're just testing the new bird. ciel2 will move to 129 and be part of the Western Arc. 61.5 is part of the exisiting Eastern Arc...

There is no evidence that Roanoke HD DMA will be mirrored on 61.5, yet. The current SD for Roanoke is parked on 110. I hope that the speculation is correct, but time will tell, right?

Roanoke should be part of the East so I would not expect it to show up on 129. 129 is so low in the sky for Virginia it's pretty much useless.

The look angle for 129 is about 23 degrees. The up-link report for 1/14/09 mapped the 3 Roanoke/ 1 Lynchburg HD stations on tsp 5 on Ciel II. No such mapping on 61.5, yet.
