Why do they send a SW44 with the 9200?

First of all, I have two separate dishes, so I cannot use a twin LNB on this setup.

I went to install my 9200, I had 2 sw21s with 2 dual LNBs. The receiver would only recognize one port of the sw21 on input one of the receiver.

I had to connect the sw44, download new software, then I tried the same setup again. This time, the 9200 read the 2 SW21s with no problem.

Is this usual? Is it, for some odd reason, better to use a SW44 with a 9200, instead of 2 SW21s?

Thanks!!!

The idea is this. If you have a single dish with 2 dual lnb's. One for '91 and one for '82, you would have 4 RG6 lines coming into your house to the SW44. The SW44 combines both sats so you can output the signal from both sats to up to 4 recievers.
