I already have Dish service with a dish 1000 and I have a switch box it has 4 imputs only 3 are being used. To get Sky Angel we have to put a second dish on the other side of our house. Np problem. My son has a SuperDish HDTV dish he no longer uses he said I could have it...will it work to receive Sky Angel and can I run the line from the dish getting Sky Angel to the 4th imput on the switch? Thanks for any imput.

its overkill but it will work

The SD is a pretty big dish (36x20) whereas a simple Dish300 is 18" and a DIsh500 is 20"

the bright side is, is you wont/ shouldnt have any rain fade issues.. Make sure you use the DBS LNBF on it and not the FSS otherwise you wont get 61.5...

As far as cost goes it's easier to call Dish and ask for the upgrade. You're going to have to purchase a new LNBF which will probably cost more than it would to have Dish do it for you.
