I have a Winegard 76 assembly. It is the 31" dish on a Diseq 1.2 motor. My zip code is 35805. I am a bit confused about setting the correct angles. The motor scale says Latitude on one side and Elevation on the other side. Then there is the dish bracket angle, it does not seem to be to adjustable because it hits the motor when dish is tilted back. Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!

Motor Elevation = 55º

Dish on motor elevation = 24º

Make sure you are using the RED mark on the dish for the elevation :)

the motor elevation is the same as your latitude (use the side that says latitude)

Actually the Elevation is equal to 90 degrees minus your latitude. Example If your latitude is 34.42 the elevation is (90 - 34.42 =) 55.58 degrees

One side of the scale will be set to read the actual latitude as Iceburg stated and the other side will read the elevation which can be calculated as above ..... Confusing .... so just use the Latitude scale as Iceburg suggests.

Need help with Coolsat settings

Thank you for the help getting my dish set at right angles. Now that I'm that far I could use some help on knowing how to set up Coolsat 5000. I have the Invacom Quad Polor Legacy 4 LNB , the C is going into port 1, and L into port 2 of a Pansat 4by1 diseq switch, and the output going to the Diseq 1.2 motor. Do I need to go into Dish Setting or Motorized Setting and what would be the correct settings ?

Dish settings, but I would not set up the switch for now, just something else to get in the way! I would wait until you are all lined up with the Linear satellites first, again I would only use one L output to start on the Invacom QPH-031

Make sure your L.O. is set to 10750 for the L output!

ok, I took the switch out, now I am using only one of the L outputs from the QPH-031 that goes into the Diseq 1.2 motor and into the CoolSat5000. I am under Dish Settings in the menu, let me confirm my settings.

Satellite - 87.0W AMC 3
LNB Power - on
LNB Type - Legacy Quad LNB2
LNB Frequency 10.750
22khz - off
Diseq Switch - off
Legacy Switch - off

With these settings I am still not getting more than 73% on level and 5% on quality. I have double checked my angles which are set to 55 for the motor and 24 for the dish bracket.
