First post, here. Been lurking for awhile and I have learned alot on this site. So, I am in 38732... way down on the DMA list. I would really like to get hd locals. I don't care where they come from so much. I've looked at the spotbeam maps, but I'm unclear if I could "move" to Nashville and pick up their hd locals. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

thanks, ron. any reason to believe that those will be switched to spotbeams any time in the near future. i guess it wouldn't really matter. i could just "move" back, right.

As the above response said, you can receive HD for Nashville, but you are outside of Spotbeam-10 that carries the SD for Nashville (Transponders 23 & 27).

You are within Spotbeam-11.

However, it looks like you may be within the Spotbeams for other cities, but none of those cities currently have HD.

Little Rock - Spotbeam-15: http://www.dbstalk.com/ekb/E10spots/e10t18.pdf

EDIT:
Shouldn't be any reason you could not move back, especially if you own the equipment. But if Dish owned it, maybe they would be wanting to send someone to the new residence to install a new dish/switch.

Notice on the HD Channel Listing, it has various satellites, such as 129 and 118.7. But that could change, and could be transferred to Spotbeams one day. But have fun while it lasts.:D

Not sure how close they are to spot-beam capacity on the 110 and 119 satellites, but they would have to move the channels from 61.5 or 129 to another satellite to use the spot beams. I don't think either 61.5 or 129 are capable of spotbeams. 110 and 119 must be tight as there is a reasn they have some of the locals on 61.5 and 129.

But that possibility is there. Just move back. Call them after you move back and tell them that you just hooked up to the dish that you left there in the first place.

After all, you bought a new dish for where you moved to earlier. :D

A&e Hd Dd 5.1

Connect Sat to DP322 (maybe a stupid Q)
