Does anyone know if the reason they have XM specials on more than one channel is to aggregate bandwidth for better sound quality? Seems that they may be able to take Channels 1, 2, and 3 and bond them into a single high rate stream and have the same programming on 1, 2, and 3 (arbitrary numbers for example's sake).

Makes sense. I mean, your technical explanation ("bonding") doesn't, but you've got the general idea.

As much as I love XM, it does have pretty abysmal sound quality, just like DBS TV has bad video quality. But I buy them both for the content, not the quality.
