Am a dyed-in-the-wool vertical man, used Cushcrafts, Hygains, and currently have an S9 vertical that is beginning to show it's age. Was wondering who uses a vertical for amateur HF and which they like?

The S9 vertical is simply a telescoping 43 foot fiberglass mast with a wire running up the middle, simple design, and works well with a tuner. They are not made anymore, at least the longer ones.

Thanks!

Maybe this antenna:

Thanks for the heads up Technicoloco, this looks like a perfect replacement. To echo the other's comments, darn good price too.

I have not been active on HF in about 7 years, but when I lived in IL I had limited space so I used a Gap vertical antenna and also used an Isotron 40 meter antenna and surprisingly the isotron worked almost as good as some dipoles I've used.
