Ok to really make NASCAR interesting, have 2 start lines on opposite sides of the track. Split the field and have them race to each other,

They could race the other direction.
Clockwise? They’d want to move the driver to the inside seating position, which would make it a right-hand drive (UK, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand). I can’t see that being a very popular decision…

Why would you have to change seats ?
They can't turn right from the current seat position ?????

The mass of the driver is on the inside of the turn, so the car is more stable in the turn, and the driver has better visibility to the left than the right.

But Indy cars go counter-clockwise on ovals as well, and it seems to be tradition that maintains that all oval races are run counter-clockwise today. Track events are run counter-clockwise as well. Tradition!

Flashing back or is Jacques Villeneuve actually in the Daytona 500?!

Looked it up, looks like he is NASCARing it in Europe and enjoys the close up racing unlike the open wheel car racing in F1, which is a bit spread out. Sadly they had to replace the engine. :(

Well, he seems up to speed now but it took until the first pitstop to get there. Be what, second, whoops sorry Foyt, third person to win Indy and Daytona?

The cars are too close in performance to race on these tracks. NASCAR has been in denial for years. Regardless, the bumping is to push the car in front. And another “red” flag. Though it wasn’t careless racing, so we can always hope for a clean finish.

Feel for Stenhouse because he was about to win.

Villeneuve needs a couple more mass crashes to get into contention.

And like clockwork, another crash. Stupid!

So are the hood flaps popping up in the draft vacuum? Also debris flying off the cars seems crazy.
