Players you wish your favorite team never traded

Joe Carter Tribe. I had bought tickets to games for 26 years. with money I made before I had a paper route. 20 to 50 games a season.

When the rumor's started of the Tribe not wanting to sign him and going to trade him, I said if they do this, trade away the best daily player they ever had for me to watch no more of my money.

I went back 4 years later to see Nolan Ryan on his farewell tour. and game 4 of the 1997 World Series the coldest baseball game I ever went to. it was very hard the first few years. but then I just quit watching any games.
went to a few Dodger games in the 1990s while in town there.

Holy Crap! Talking about digging up a discussion thread from the archives. Since we're visiting the wayback machine, I absolutely hated the following trades:

Bob Lanier (Pistons) traded to Milwaukee for Scott Benson...enough said.
Justin Verlander (Tigers) traded to Houston for.....basically pickup his salary
Bobby Layne (Lions) trade to Pittsburgh, along with sale to Ford Family, dooming the organization
Marcel Dionne (Red Wings) traded to Montreal....future Hall of Famer in exchange for Dead Wings era
That was the Day I Started following the Astros ...
Many very good years for them since then ...
