"...In more practical terms, we always maintained that going with the more expensive option was in the long run better for the consumer..."
------Sir Howard Stringer, CEO, Sony Corp.

...In more practical terms, we always maintained that going with the more expensive option was in the long run better for the consumer...SO WE COULD MAKE A BOATLOAD OF CASH :haha :haha

Actually, if there is no money in it for the CE manufacturers, for the studios, for the retailers then you would not have any product to buy - if you wanted to or not. I guess none of you work for yourselves. You all probably work for your paycheck that does not come out of your own sweat equity? If you are so down on profit why don't all of you sell your houses, all of your stock , take your money out of those retirement accounts and banks and put all your money under your matress where you will not make any profit on your money. After all, according to all the whining I have been reading the last few months most of you are Socialist who do not believe in profit.

You prefer for the product you buy to be inexpensive even if the company selling it looses boat loads of money (Toshiba) and you do not care how much new technology costs as long is you can get it for 10 cents on the dollar.

Yeah, I bet all of you have cashed out all of your investments , sold your houses and moved to Russia where you are now standing in a line hoping that when you get in the store there will still be bread!

Talk about witnessing change:
in the year or so I'm reading your posts, Joe, your IQ level dropped at least in half...
Really sad.
