A friend just sent me this link and I wanted to pass it along to you guys.

It is a way to see snapshots of the Internet and individual web-sites back as far as 1996.

hxxp://www.archive.org/web/web.php

Change the xx above to tt and off you go.

When you get there, type in C-band Satellite TV, 4DTV and Free To Air Satellite Entertainment and choose the 1997 webpage and look at their online catalog.

It can be used for any website that has ever been in existence. Try some of the old satellite companies. You will be amazed.

I use to tinker with webarchive.org quite a bit.. never thought about looking at old satelliteguys pages though. Interesting to see that "Sean Mota" was the "Iceberg" of postings at one time ;)

I thought it was very interesting.

I looked at this site, Mike Kohl's site (he goes way back), Chaparral's site and Skyvision's.

A guy might even use the sites to find old specs or manuals on some of the older equipment. :)
