Use for VOOM receiver other than OTA?

Other than OTA tuner (HD), what could be some other uses for the DSR550? Any geeks have some idea on some of the unused interfaces, cards--wasn't there a USB connector? (No, not interested in door stop ideas, but electronic uses).

If EBAY only alternative, how to go about listing? How to reset the VOOm box for selling?

I don't think you can use it for anything but OTA, if the box hasn't been "killed".
