I'm really excited that we have a new forum for items like this. What I would like to know is "Who is Your favorite Annoucing Team of All Time"? Is it Summerall/Madden? Enberg/Olsen? Cosell, Meredith and Gifford? Or is it someone from today. Nantz/Simms, Buck/Aikman? What do you think?

For football, it's Summerall-Madden. For baseball, it's Costas-Kubek. For basketball, it's Albert-Fratello (the early '90s edition on NBC).

Just from a personal aside;three of my all-time favorite "local" anouncers are gone now;Cawood Ledford (UK Sports),Joe Nuxhall(Reds) and now Skip Caray. The sports world is much more lonely without these three calling games.

I loved Cawood Ledford doing the Wildcats games.
The "old lefthander" was good too.

NFL: Summerall and Madden

CBB: Enberg,Packer and McGuire

I totally agree with your choices. Actually, I liked Dizzy Dean and Peewee Reese, but I was just a kid then, so what do I know. :)

I only remember Dizzy Dean when he did some guest appearances on NBC's Monday Night Baseball. I really liked him on that and my dad loved listening to him and his tales. I'm afraid I'm too young for Reese.
