NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

Sabres, a question.

You're a big TT believer and you also take shots at anyone who says Florida will finish high (mainly cracking on their defense). What say you to the fact that Florida had basically the same (actually a little better) offensive and defensive scoring stats as Texas Tech last year (actually Florida averaged 1.3 more offensive points and 1.6 less defensive points per game)?

Playboy ratings OKies #1 Missouri #4 Kansas #10 Texas Tech #11 Texas #13 Kansas State #22. Is Florida the 4th best team in the Southeast?:D

What will we be after we beat you in November?

Just a minor clarification Paul. It was stevenl who called Michigan "beat up". I was quoting him. The OSU vs. Michigan game is ALWAYS tough, no matter the rankings in that particular year.

And since you asked, you will be minced meat after WE beat YOU in November! ;):D

Bowl game? You're talking about a bowl game? (Coors commercial)

Hell, 7 wins will be a great season. Beating "That evil school from the South" would make it "priceless".

Would Michigan STILL make the Alamo Bowl or maybe the Motor City Bowl?

Motor City bowl??? I do find it quite funny that while Michigan is starting with a new coach, and a re-vamped roster that many expect 4,5, wins. I expect 8 or nine wins.

Should be an intresting season...

Not just technically, geographically too.:D
Just for clarification, "That evil school from th South" was coined by Bo Schembechler, referring to Ohio State University.
Does that little "t" you bucknuts put in front of OSU supposed to denote THE? That's a little pretentious isn't it?
Look out, we're THE Ohio state University. ROFLMAO!!!

8 or 9 wins? That's pretty optimistic. All of Michigan's best players graduated or transferred out. Now they are going to try to run a spread offense with the old plow horses that Michigan has leftover. I think Michigan could be every bit the disaster that Notre Dame was last year. When you don't have the right personnel to run your system bad things happen, very bad things.

Well many of the plow horses have either got into shape for the system or have transfered. I agree the offense will struggle, but I expect the defense to have a nice year

I guess we shall see

All very valid arguments, except for the plow horses. The offensive line will have 4 freshmen, and one remaining starter. Their weight training has been completely revamped with emphasis on speed, explosiveness, and endurance. The defense on the other hand, should be very good, and will have to carry the day. But no way we do a "Notre Dame". I still believe we are better, and will prove that early this season, head-to-head. In the end, an inexperienced young offensive line could be our undoing, but there is still a load of talent here at MICHIGAN. We're not rebuilding, we're reloading.

GO BLUE!!!

Remember what happened at Nebraska when they tried to run a west coast offense with option players. I'm just saying that running a spread offense with 3 yards and a cloud of dust players seems eerily similar. And you're breaking in 4 freshman on o-line? OMG. You do realize that in a spead offense it's just the QB and the o-line? Everybody else is spread out. If anybody misses a block, as freshmen tend to do, the QB is dead. Should be an interesting season.

I never said they could win the National Championship in football, at least not seriously. I would love to see it, but it is very unlikely in the SEC. Plus I am a fan and am supposed to root for my team to win all the games. So get off my case.

Pardon me, but you were the one who said that kaintuckhee's win over the winner of the national championship (LSU) was no fluke, which implies that they were the best team in the nation. If you intend to make rash statements like that, best get out your nomex undies. :D

You can feel secure that at least the wildkants did beat that other perennial powerhouse, Vandy. Never mind that they got beat by South Carolina or Miss State, we will not remind you of that.

What is your problem????? I can have it both ways and I will have it both ways. Now go away, you bother me.
