Ciel 2 Tracking

This mornings TLE indicates it is back at the previous altitude. The confusion begins and usually when that happens the bird is more or less home. ;)

I actually have a stronger signal, but that's probably because I have my wacky 119/129 Dish 500 setup. Since it moved towards 119, it's closer to the 9 degree separation the DISH is focused on.

Then we can get a New Satellite instead of old used ones from the other orbital locations. Not fair you guys in the west already got E*11.:(:)

Monday it was reveled that Nimiq-5 (72.7) is set to launch in the beginning of August by ILS. So that's something headed to the EA.

I wonder how much of a signal difference we will see on 129??

On a good day most of mine will read around 28 to 33 signal strength.

110 and 119 will read in the 70's

Yeah 129 I get around 50's-60's and 110-119 those our fine get like 90s-100s.

I just got repointed to 129 yesterday due to an international migration. Seems like great timing on my end. I can't wait!

I think they should move E5 to 61.5 so you can fully appreciate what a piece of work us spoiled westerners have enjoyed these past years.

Still drifting east, but like .15 deg. per day now.

I almost looks like they over shot it ... this could also be part of the testing too I imagine ...

It still has around a 1.5 degree per day drift rate ...

Isn't this just where it would be based on info from the last TLE.not taking into account it might have stop ?
