NFL 2009-10 Season

Primadonna update.

Seymour has spoken publicly about being shocked about the trade to Oakland, more from a personal standpoint because of his family and kids and a 15 year old cousin or something that he's the guardian of. Otherwise, is happy with 'how the team looks at him'.

Brandon Marshall will likely play for the Broncos in their opener against the Bengals. I still see them losing this game by 2 scores, but we'll see I guess.

I see Brandon Marshal got what he wants too....
He had NO preseason work and no practice to speak of.
Would serve him right if he pulled a hamstring the first game out.

Cable shows us again ("nothing happened") that we can't believe what he says. Said that he's spoken to Seymor and that he's told him he wants to play for Oakland, and that he's not in California yet because he's still working out issues with the Patriots..

So I guess Cable and there Raiders WERE telling the truth:

Seymour said he has been in regular contact with Raiders owner Al Davis and coach Tom Cable. He said he has talked with the Raiders about a possible contract extension or a promise not to be designated the franchise player following the season, but was given no guarantees.

Seymour turns 30 next month and is in the final year of a contract that pays him about $3.7 million this year. Had he not reported, he could have been suspended for the season and had his contract roll over to 2010.

"I didn't demand anything to go there," he told the Herald. "I'm happy to go there, and I told them that. But me and my family have never been separated. This was a difficult transition."

I guess, sometimes it IS true what they say about making ass-u-mptions....;)

I like how you ignore the 'working out issues with the Patriots' part that was a lie the whole time and you even requoted.

He could have a 10 sack season and wont be worth the compensation they gave up for him.

No...I didn't ignore it because since the Raiders do not know in the INs and OUTs of the New England Patriots, that could have been something Seymour said to Raiders.
All Cable and Raiders did was simply REPEAT what Seymour told them....that is all. YOU were basically stating that Cable and the Raiders were lying. Seymours' words proved you wrong and now you are trying to spins something completely different.

...it is there in black and white.

Oh, so your new player was lying to his new team, then, got it.

I guess given this year's draft, unless Al Davis passes they couldn't do too much worse. Probably get a year or two of mediocre production from Bay and Mitchell before they're cut or traded by the next coach. I guess I just wonder what you think will happen? This team isn't that close to contending for much, and this is a 1st round pick in a 2 years for a 30 year old player.

Oh, so your new player was lying to his new team, then, got it.

LMAO!! Maybe he was, I don't know. Like I said....you called out the Raiders Cable for lying or lack of credibility. And ALL Cable and the Raiders did was repeat Seymour's word. That is all. Seymour's statements have proved you were wrong with your assumption.

...just admit you assumed wrong, end of story. I assume, people assume wrong all the time.

I'd be happy to admit I was wrong if I was. All *I* said was what Cable did. Or do you want to debate how right Cable was when he said 'nothing happened' with his coach and his miraculous broken jaw? Nothing happened? Wrong. In New England 6 days after the trade working out issues with the Patriots? Wrong (if anything, was working out family issues). You're better off just moving on.

Wow!! I guess you cannot admit you were wrong. Will move on happily. ;)

Rookie RB James Davis was involved in a 1-car accident this morning and taken to the hospital. Is 'ok' apparently, but is now questionable vs the Vikings due to a head injury.

Javon Walker at odds with the Raiders, a year removed from signing a $55m contract he hasnt been listed on the depth chart and 2 rookies are starting at WR for week 1 (DHB, Murphy). Cable says Walker isn't ready, Walker says he's 100%.

Cable revealed one of the reasons Garcia was released - he asked for it. He said today Garcia shocked them all when he asked for his release. A combination of not wanting to put another season on his body and not wanting to be a backup.

Raiders news conference at 5:30 PST to introduce Richard Seymour.

This new NFLN Red Zone Channel is awesome!!!

Chiefs just tied the Ravens at 24 and Cincinnati is on the 1 yd line with :44 left trailing Denver 6-0

Lions putting up a good fight in New Orleans, 37-28.

However, Brees has 5 touchdown passes so far- Brady and Favre had 6 TD game in the past two years. Will we see #3?

The Panthers are off to a pathetic start this year. They can never do well in back to back seasons. Jake Delhomme is becoming impossible to defend anymore. Too bad the Panthers gave him a 5 year contract in the off season. :(
