HR24 temps right now
HR20 temps right now
The new HR24 runs considerably cooler, this is a good thing, components tend to work better that way.
As I posted above, up to 127 * was normal for a hr20
Im thinking 109 may be the default. Like I said, in the same spot my HR22 was 95-99, the 24 is 109. Prob just part of the design, and thats in an enclosed area. Once I get it into the living room, she'll be breathing cool air in an open center, so it may go down. Regardless, it may run cooler than a 20, but it runs hotter than a 22.

Well tech came out to install my DECA and SWM16 system, and it is a no-go, he doesn't have any SWM16, none in their warehouse yet. He spoke to whse supervisor and they expect them in Friday, so now my install is Sunday the 30th. I'm torn on activating my HR24's now, I was planning to wait until after the install.
Personally, I would go ahead and install it.
They will make the changes when they get out there.
No real reason for you to wait on it.
This way you'll have time to get to know your new addition to the family !

Just saw you posted that Overstock link earlier (I found it on fatwallet.com). Anyway, glad to know I did it right!

When you click on the Overstock link and put in Directv HR24, it comes up with the discount automatically.
After listening to all you all week, i may jump in and get one, if i can get the AM21 at the same time.
