I have a HR24 with Whole Home Network setup. I just noticed that the option on the Menu for "Music, Photos, & More" is no longer listed.

Any way to get that back?

Thanks, ill have to look into that.

That is to make sure you are on the internet; what bbixler posted is where you see media share. it is one of the main selections once menu is pressed

menu > setup > system setup > network setup >

Menu button......Mine says:

My Playlist
Cinemaplus
Manage Recordings
Music, Photos & More
Caller ID
TVmail
Parental, Fav's & Setup

Ok, Just ran a test to verify I was still connected ... Network : Ethernet Connected, Internet : Connected :up as expected.

Ok, when I go to Network Set Up I have choices:

Test Connection (we already know it's connected to the internet)

Repeat Network Set Up (I'm guessing thats what you use when trying to get it set up)

Advanced Set Up:

Network Services:

Restore Defaults

K, where do I go from here ?

menu > setup > system setup > network setup >

Menu button......Mine says:

My Playlist
Cinemaplus
Manage Recordings
Music, Photos & More
Caller ID
TVmail
Parental, Fav's & Setup

back all the way out

hit menu button once and you should see the media share line IF you have a media share/server running on your PC or laptop.

DIRECTV: Media Share

Ok, this is why, I don't have it set up on the desktop.

I figured out on my Windows 7 computer I just had to click the Start logo and then type in "Media Sharing options" and there it showed my DirecTV box which the computer had blocked so I had to click allow
