The "new" iPad Announcement / Discussion Thread

The flip side to that though is that our apps are going to be larger. I realize that it's a necessary evil, but given the fact that I got a 16GB version I'm a little worried about not being able to have all the stuff that I want. Looks like I'll have to be more selective about what apps I get and also be more vigilant about getting pictures and videos off the pad to conserve space. Luckily I got 50 GB of free storage via box so that should help with that. Also, while I do use my pad to watch a lot of stuff, most of it is on Netflix or streamed through my network, so I don't plan on downloading many (if any) storage hungry HD videos.

That goes along with my concern that a 16GB iPad may be too small. When my wife goes from iPad 2 to 3, I'm going to encourage her to go to 32GB.

Would you guys recommend buying AppleCare+ for the iPad?
I think it's $99. Did anyone really benefit from it?

I bought it. They'll answer any questions my wife has for an extra year.
Well, my wife had an iPad for year, she never had a need to call Apple and she didn't have a question that I couldn't answer. :)

If you don't order it today you will have to go to the apple store to get it. I have it on my iPhone - I like the screen protection. Going to call to get it tonight.

Just called my nearest Walmart. Indeed, they will start selling them at midnight!
But they only have 16 and 32GB Wi-Fi models. No 4G.

My iPad and I are in the same city limit. One more stop.:)
I too called my local Walmart and they will be selling the 16-32 wifi at 12:01 am.

I got a call from my Verizon sales rep at 9:30 tonight that my ipad is at the store and wants me to come pick it up at 8AM, an hour earlier than my original 9Am appointment. I think I'll be there early.

I just got a 16 gig white wifi at walmart...thought ah what the heck lets see if there's a lot of people there...my local walmart had 7 in Stock...12 people in line when all said and done...this one is to sell I will be keeping my 32 gig :)

Mine just left Memphis n a plane before 5am. I figure it will be "out for delivery" by 7:30. Then the wait begins! :)

Sent from my iPad using SatelliteGuys

EDIT: As of 6:02am it is in Illinois, at "destination sort facility." Get moving FedEx people. :D

SO, some poor soul who desperately wanted an iPad 3 loses out because you are a greedy b#$%sd. ;) :D

I'm embarrassed at number of times I've updated my package tracking app.

I just have it in a browser tab in Safari. :) But why, once it says "out for delivery" I will check it again is beyond me - but I know I will. Gottta make sure they don't think they delivered it to someone else. :D

Still at destination sort facility ;)
