The little apps menu on the bottom of the screen still won't leave gracefully. You still have to do another function like viewing the guide to get it to stop looping the apps menu.

Two of my Hoppers are on S238, one is still at S234. Just have to wait until it gets targeted.

Had 238 for a few days now and I think it has fixed my Black Screen issue with over the air. Yesrterday with heavy rain my signals were in the 60s but never lost them. The multipath where the signal strength jumped from 100 to 80 up and down does not seem to occur. Granted it has only beeen a few days.

Still on 234 as well but wanting the update so bad. Our replacement Hopper pulled down 238 Thurs night and it seemed to fix our Internet issues but haven't tested caller ID. Please Dish, hit my other Hopper with 238!!!

All of the VIP models and hopper should be reverting back to my channels, that is how it is designed to work. That was a change made quite some time ago.

Why would this be a default behavior? If a customer selects a list other than "my channels" or a custom defined list, then why change anything? It would be the equivalent of desktop shortcuts. If a shortcut is added to the desktop by the user, it should stay there until it's removed by the user. Using dish's logic, the desktop would be wiped clean after a reboot of the computer.

Because in the past with VIP models, the list would stay on last used. That was changed across all those receivers via a sw update a long time ago, it was changed to lower impact from people missing channels or calling dish because they see a channel in the guide they can't access.

If you are using a non-Dish remote, this has been reported to Dish several times....

s238 and I still lose my end. Also, this morning the guide was on my channels. I can see why dish would want it to revert for noobs that might get confused but they should offer an expert option that would leave such settings alone. I only want to look at my favs, rather than all the crap that I have to get with my tier, but that belongs to a different thread :)

"end"="ehd". Auto spellchecking is also a pain sometimes... :(

Not sure what button the Exit button maps to on the Dish remote, and not sure why Exit wouldn't do the trick. What Dish remote button works??

Exit tracks to Cancel which is what works on the Dish remote.... We do know that it is not just the Harmony remotes. It is any remote that is not Dish and is IR....
