Verizon's Samsung Galaxy S5 users run into problems with the camera

And they are replacing them at no cost to the user. Much better than antennagate from a few years back...

Or in short, Samsung's response wasn't "You're holding it wrong."

If it's a hardware issue, why just Verizon?

These are generally made in production runs. So if they got some runs of bad cameras, which is the reason to replace the hardware rather than patching, it could well be confined to a specific carrier's production run of phones.
