As anyone noticed that Dish is now offering 6 months of Netflix free now as part of their new customer offer? I find this interesting as it seems that would directly compete with their Blockbuster at Home service. I wonder if in the future they will offer Netflix as an "app" on the Hopper? That might cause me to think about making a switch to Dish. I hate having to swap to AppleTV or Roku just to watch something on Netflix. It would be nice to have it integrated in with my DVR and linear programming service.

I haven't heard anything about this... but to me it something that should have been done a long time ago. I want to watch everything with one box.

Where did you see this?
It's on their website, says "NETFLIX MEETS DISH: Get DISH and get six months of Netflix included – even if you already subscribe to Netflix. Sign up today and get a free Hopper upgrade!"
I found it interesting they were offering this, much less so prominently advertised on their homepage, as it seems Netflix would directly compete with their own BB@Home.

You mean Dish Network's website? I just stopped by www.dish.com, but not seeing it.

I have to admit I would have said this wouldn't ever be a Dish offer... So far seems well hidden. :)

If they are serious about this, they need to bring it up the the surface, ie, Special Offers page.

Here's what I see today:
DISH Home page said:
Netflix Offer: Offer ends 7/31/14 and requires activation of qualifying new DISH service. Valid for 6 months of Netflix service on the $7.99/month 2-screens-at-a-time streaming plan (a current total value of $47.94). You will receive a promotional code 6-10 weeks after DISH service activation. A computer or other device that streams from Netflix (manufactured and sold separately) and broadband Internet connection are required to watch instantly. Offer is not redeemable or refundable for cash, subject to applicable law, and cannot be exchanged for Netflix Gift Subscriptions. You may apply the value of the offer to a different plan, or other services offered by Netflix. Exchanges in this manner may alter the duration of the offer. For details, please visit www.netflix.com/termsofuse. © 2014 Netflix, Inc.
Given the revised plan (from Unlimited to 2 screens) and the fact that Netflix doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere else, I think someone is looking to see if we read the fine print.

I see on the top of the promo page that this program has apparently been in place all year.

I am not sure why some folks can see it and others cant. I have seen it for a few days, and figured that someone here would post something about it. If they would offer a Netflix app on the Hopper I would seriously consider coming over to Dish from DirecTV. It would be really nice to be able to search for a movie or something and it integrate both the linear channels and VOD services such as Netflix. I figure that is just wishful thinking though.

Now $8.99, for new customers. Still $7.99 for another year for existing I believe.
