Hybrid LNB Wiring Diagrams

My install is this afternoon. Duse ti LOS, I have a wing dish to pick up 129. Scott has already confirmed this set up can be configured to work with the H3. When i told the installer my set up, he was kind of unsure what he is going to have to do. I have the diagrams ready for when he gets here, but still have one question. From what I see the wing dish will be left as is, and the main dish will get the hybrid LNB. My question is, will the LNB fit on the current dish 500, or will he have to swap that one out to the 1000.2?
Swapped for the 1000.2

He'll have to swap out the 500 for a 1000.2. The 1k2 is the only dish the dph lnbs will work with.

With you having a wing for 129 it wouldn't hurt to cover 129 on the 1000.2 completely taking it out of the equation. Foil tape works well, just have to figure out which 1 it is.

What would happen if it isn't covered, and how would he figure out which one to cover?

Thanks

If there is no line of sight period at the 1000.2 for 129 you'll be in good shape. However if there is a little signal and it's low. The 1000.2 will default on it for 129 instead of the wing.

If I currently have a duo node with 3 cables going to dish, would it be best to have the installers leave the other 2 cables and cap them off?

This pop can killed 129 on a regular 1000.2 lnb. Going to assume the new dph lnbs are laid out the same way.

That's cool. So it's simple as that???. He said he would see if he could get al three with the 1K.2. If not, I will insist to cover the 129 up on the hybrid, and keep wing dish. Thanks for the help gang!!!! This is why I love this place!!!!!!

Noticed you were in AR, there are many zip codes considered low beam which require a 2 dish setup to begin with.

Yeah, unless you are getting Ft Smith locals, and I don't think that's correct, you should be on eastern arc looking at 61.5, 72... The Little Rock locals, in HD, are on 61.5. They are also on 77....
