He's been bitching ..your word.. for two days. He was given advice and chose not to take any of it.DISH is expensive. What's your point? Why is it with this forum group think that every time someone gripes about your sacred, fair haired DISH boy....the dissenting member gets gang banged? He has a right to bitch if he feels wronged. Just Google "dish sucks" and see what you get. Folks aren't making this stuff up.
I've been with DISH from the beginning and recently wrote to CEO@dish.com regarding getting some service and a straight answer which I wasn't getting from the CSR bozos with the thick accents. The retention rep was incredible not only helping quickly with several issues but sending us a red Mrs. Field's tin of delish cookies and a thank you note. Nice touch, very personal service too!
Monthly cost with a new Hopper 3 and one Joey 4K dropoed to $54/mo, which includes fees/taxes. I dropped the locals and went with the white AirTV adapter which is the latest release and works great.
Seems I have to eat some crow on this one, I contacted dish CEO, recording were played back the disclosure was read to me the rep did go overboard some what in reading the agreement, an adjustment was made to the final bill. My service connect date was in 1999, by the way. Its been a great ride starting with the duel head LNB's, dish adding and then distant networks, Monsters HD the 301's and 508 receivers all the way to 922 and then the Hopper! Thanks for the comments and support from the group and Dish Network.

Just to clear some things up, it is totally possible the agent gave you misinformation so you wouldn't cancel. This happens a bit and will get picked up by QA as avoiding a disconnect. Pausing the service will pause your contract as the 2 year agreement means 2 years of Active Service. Unfortunately, pause fees aren't reimbursed when you cancel or unpause, it's just not something that can be done. If I was in your shoes, I would escalate the call to a supervisor and have them listen to the call to see if you were misinformed or if maybe you heard wrong.
Yeah I figured. Just read the first page lolDude, you should read the whole thread before posting. It will save you some time.

I installed ours in Summer of 1995. I thought it was longer, but was corrected the last time I spoke with DISH.Was thinking the same thing, Dish was two years. Behind DirecTV
Is that satellite or service?Dish didn’t launch until March of 1996
