Brand New Titanium ASC1 -- Odd Behavior

I have an update on the ASC1. Brian shipped out a replacement and it came in today. I hooked everything up carefully, connected the RG6 to the Chaparral C-Band LNB, turned on the replacement ASC1, and it works! I can move the dish east/west without issue. I'm receiving channels and am scanning...

Brand New Titanium ASC1 -- Odd Behavior

No, no switch between the LNB port on the ASC1 and the now-installed Chaparral C-Band LNB... just a 100' RG6 with compression connectors on each end. I'm going to perform the ground test this morning and report results. Thanks to all who have responded with suggestions. I appreciate the...

Brand New Titanium ASC1 -- Odd Behavior

It does matter if the LNB is connected or not at the dish end. If the f-connector is NOT connected to the LNB but IS connected to the ASC1, it moves the dish fine. It's only when the f-connector is connected to the LNB on the dish side that the message appears. The center conductor on both ends...

Brand New Titanium ASC1 -- Odd Behavior

I received a brand new Titanium ASC1 today. Really was looking forward to getting this going, but it is virtually unusable with my linear actuator on my 10' BUD. Keeping in mind that I have a GBOX V3000 that works just fine with this setup, I literally replaced it with the ASC1. Here's what I...

AZBox Premium HD + and Western Digital 1TB WD10EARS

Thanks for replying guys. I finally got it to work by putting a jumper on pins 5-6. The AZBox now recognizes it, and I was able to format it and do some recording tests, and it all seemed to work fine. I believe the jumper forces the drive into SATA 1.5 mode.

AZBox Premium HD + and Western Digital 1TB WD10EARS

Hello everyone, Yesterday I received a brand new Western Digital 1TB WD10EARS hard drive from amazom.com and installed it in my AZBox Premium HD +. I removed the top cover, installed the hard drive in the carriage, plugged the combined SATA data and power cable, then put the cover back on...

Can my AZBox autoscan all birds?

Yes, I am seeing the infamous "reset East Limit" issue when doing blind scan on my AZBox Premium HD + and my GBox 3000. I was hoping that a true "blind satellite scan" existed on the AZBox, as I have not found every satellite in the arc. It would certainly take some complex firmware to do a...

    Az Premium Plus problem

I purchased an AZBox Premium HD + back in February, and after about 30 days, the power supply died. I sent an email to the vendor whom I purchased the box from and he sent a replacement power supply straight-away. In the mean time, I did some research on the parts that were listed on the...

Can my AZBox autoscan all birds?

I've looked high and low and cannot seem to find a way to do this, so I thought I would ask here. I have an AZBox Premium + hooked up to a GBox 3000. Currently I have to search for each bird, then do a scan to confirm I have the right bird, save the channels, etc. On an old analog...

    DMX741 and Polarity

An update: I called Sadoun and explained the issue I was having. He conceded that it could be a defective DMX741, and sent me one at no extra charge. I got it in today and hooked it up, and am now receiving distinct horizontal and vertical signals via blind scan. A subsequent channel scan...

    DMX741 and Polarity

Well I tried rotating the LNB 90 degrees in the ring and did a scan.. Nothing came up. Just to reiterate, I followed directions and positioned the LNB so that it's 0 degree mark pointed at both 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock and performed scans on both positions with no verticals coming up. Got my...

    DMX741 and Polarity

Hdfan, Thanks for the suggestion. I have the zero mark on the LNB facing directly at my 6 o'clock. So I think that is fine. I'll report what I find when I hook my AVBox on Monday. Thanks much.

    DMX741 and Polarity

Actually I have the DMX741, not the DMX741U. I tried your suggestion and did a forced scan on V and got the same channels that I had on H again. It's certainly looking like the LNBF is the problem. I purchased this LNBF new from Sadoun. Just to be clear, I'm uploading the picture of...

    DMX741 and Polarity

Thanks for the responses gentlemen. I took out my el-cheapo multimeter and connected a pigtail RG6 to the antenna input of the Pansat 9200HD then put it into blind scan mode. Measured the voltage on the other end of the pigtail with the meter. When it was scanning Horiziontal, the voltage on...

    DMX741 and Polarity

Today I replaced my C-Band LNB on my 10' UNIMESH dish with a DMX741. Up to this point I had been using a Toshiba TRX-80 to actually move both the dish (via a SuperJack) as well as change the polarity using a Chaparral Polarotor. So when I scanned a bird using my Pansat 9200HD, I had to change...
