Many LNBs and other FTA products are "generic" and are re-branded for different importers. Im using a DMS-422 dual feed C band which works very well. Havent tried any other brand labeled C band LNBs.

Im in Ontario Canada and receive that S2 TP and several others using a Fortec 6 ft dish, BSC422 LNB and either a S9 or DVB 2104D receiver. You should be fine if the dish is well tweaked.

The DVBWorld 2104D will do all of your requirements for just a little more than your budget, but you need a PC with a descent video board. For a STB the Openbox S-9 HD PVR will do all except 4.2.2 chroma feeds for less than $200.

Good advice. I use a S-9 for most and a DVBWorld 2104D for the 4.2.2 stuff and there is a fair bit of it. The 2104D model does it all including a great Blind Scan.

Im running about 75 ft 6 conductor phone cable cause I had a bunch. Paralleled 2 pairs for motor current and remaining pair for reed sensor. Works great on Harl 3618 actuator on 6 ft dish.

Sounds like it is DLing OK, great. If you replaced the old file with the one provided you should see the new names in the sat pull down box right away. Your old sat list in the left column will not change until you scan a sat then close and restart the app.

Thanks Iceberg for re-posting the file but there still seems to be issues with it. It contains 2 files a .dat and a .txt but when I DL it from the site it shows only 1 unrecognized file. This same file was uploaded to another site and DL and unzips fine.

It was done with jzip but I tried winzip also and cant seem to get a valid file to upload correctly. Emailed it to myself and it opens OK.. Dont know whats going on here, sorry. If you want it PM me with Email addy.
