IN BD55 manual pg 13 , 'F' "Connecting to 5.1ch Audio Out" seems to me to say turn 'HDMI Audio Output' OFF when "connecting AVR with HDMI AV Out terminal." In all my configurations with HDMI cable and 5.1 cables, I have had HDMI turned OFF.

oops, did not mean to 'send' yet... Post #291 (yesterday 9:15pm) describes the problem and hook ups I tried to make it work (no sound). I just woke from a nap trying to get a clear head to 'go back in' (well behind anyway) ;). First, some manual studying to see if today I can make sense of it.
