channels we are missing in High defintion on dish network

Unbelievable. This is the first I've been to these forums in a while and this the first topic I see. How many thousands of times are you going to create a thread about what HD Dish does not have? Why not just add an update to one of the other 438,762 threads you previously created about this...

Moving to new house that already has a dish installed

It's obvious you have no clue how we configure our systems with diplexers and we hardly ever "install" a switch. BTW, we didn't mention OTA either since Dish doesn't want their techs installing OTA since there is no way to guarantee a stable, consistant signal.

Moving to new house that already has a dish installed

Depends on what the previous home owner had. If they had a dual tuner, good chance the master bedroom is working off the living room. If they had a hopper, then there's a node in the system and you'll need Dish to come out and replace the node with a diplexer and make sure the correct 2 rooms...

    Signal/Receiver Help??

Holy crap, where do you live? I and a multitude of Dish techs can confirm that the .2 EA dish gets a better signal than .4 EA dish, usually around 5 points better. It's not just about the dish size. The way the lnb is designed to catch the signal is just as important But it sounds like you...

The real story on the AM21

I don't know where you got your info but there is no way Dish is going this way. Their OTA dongle is considered an accessory that the customer has to pay for at his risk since they in no way can guarantee OTA reception for the customer.

    Goodbye Dish Network

Actually this was a common tech complaint. Went to too many trouble calls with two hoppers and it just seem like there was just too much "stuff" going on for the system to handle and nothing could be done to really fix it. I believe "stretched too far" is the cliche I'm looking for.

    New Hopper?

Maybe I'm wrong, but still haven't seen official installation diagrams from Dish for 3 or more hopper systems. I've seen pictures of the actual configuration at a customer's house enough to understand how it's done, but not actual diagrams.

TVland ... will Dish ever get it in HD?

Directv has it, but does anyone know if Dish is getting it?

    8PSK Conversion Update

And yet Dish still has its techs installing MPEG2 receivers (625, 322, 311, 512) on Flex 24 accounts. Those receivers should have been thrown in the trash compactor years ago.

    Bury cable during installation

Jesus, Claude, what's is your OCD about burying cables? In-house techs are NOT allowed to break ground without calling 811 first. 811 MUST be called and ground marked, and then Dish schedules a tech to come out on a follow up appointment to bury the cable. If they trench/dig before that...

    Balcony mounting options

Come on, Claude, you know good and well that Dish loves to rape installers on unapproved parts used to install so they can backcharge the full amount of the install and basically get a free install while still collecting the customer's money month after month. Posted Via The FREE...

    Balcony mounting options

Except the bucket mount is unapproved by Dish and if it's a area that Dish's QAS Nazis patrol, then the installer really can't risk doing it. Posted Via The FREE SatelliteGuys Reader App!

211z receiver keeps turning off after nightly updates

Omg. Really? Seriously? Can't turn them back on and to the right channel? Some people really are too dumb to have Dish. Posted Via The FREE SatelliteGuys Reader App!
