    4K Events Discussion Thread

I am so excited that ESPN 4K is finally here! NBC (Notre Dame, Premier League) is the last big national provider Dish is missing right?

DISH Hacked - Websites are BACK ONLINE!

Unfortunately I had a promo offer ending today. I *think* I set it to cancel after the promo period, hopefully so!

Happy to see the FOX playoff games will be in 4K again after they did not have any 4K broadcasts during the regular season (since they lost Thursday Night Football to Amazon). Excited to have the Super Bowl on FOX again so we can get the (upscaled) 4K HDR coverage for the big game! Hope there...

Impeachment: American Crime Story on FX 136 has repeated pauses

I've noticed some issues too, thought it might be an issue just for my dish, glad it's not that. I've seen glitches in every episode of American Crime Story this year. But I have also seen them in some episodes of Dave that I have recorded over the past 2 months on FX. It's almost enough to make...

Dish Anywhere app a lot better

Since the update, I am missing many channels in my Guide...almost as if my Hopper (with Sling) is not connected and it's only streaming channels available. But I can see the DVR programs so I am connected...

ESPN has a 4K broadcast tonight (Houston vs Texas Tech). I guess Dish does not have an agreement with ESPN for 4K events yet. I'm hopeful NBC's 4K coverage of Notre Dame games will be available after some of the Olympics were shown in 4K, looks like September 25th is the first opportunity per TV...

Flipped on 540-01 early to see if Big Noon Kickoff was in 4K (it was not). They were doing live testing of the different feeds with stadium sounds mostly with a couple of filmed B-roll shots mixed in. Brought back memories of waiting for the game to start at college football stadiums. A pleasant...

fuboTV has updated their 4K sports schedule showing all the FOX Thursday Night Football games are scheduled to be broadcast in 4K again this year (Week 1 is NBC, Weeks 2-4 are on NFL Network, which is why the 4K games start in October). What events in 4K/HDR are coming up on fuboTV? No mention...

I think this Field of Dreams broadcast is the first Fox Sports 4K event I've watched where I did not feel the need to adjust the colors or brightness. I'm hopeful this continues for future Fox broadcasts!

Whatever contractual or technical issues prevented DISH from having the NBC 4K stream for the Olympics, I hope they resolve it by February if the Super Bowl is broadcast in 4K this year since NBC has it :) (and NBC seems likely to broadcast it in 4K since they already have experience with Notre...

Based on the NBC Olympics 4K webpage, it looks like DISH will only get tennis, wrestling, and golf in 4K HDR and not the NBC primetime broadcasts NBC's 4K HDR Coverage of the Tokyo Olympics (hopefully this is subject to change but the opening ceremonies are not listed in the Guide)

    4K Events Discussion Thread

I tried to watch last Saturday's game on my Roku-equipped TCL TV in the Fox Sports app and couldn't figure out if it was the 4K HDR feed or not (likely not, didn't look much better than the 720p feed). Do you have to select a different event for 4K or does it automatically send the 4K stream...

Personally I think the color looks much better today in the TCU-Texas game. Went back to last week's game on the DVR and the burnt orange of Texas this week looks more accurate than the crimson of Oklahoma last week. And the overall color temperature isn't so cool this week
