Nono... I mean. My GAEBOA is still under warranty, so I expect that I will get a similiar (if not identical) box. But turns out I don't get what I expected. Fkostyn, my second call to D* was to customer retention... they want to to commit another year before they would send me a box as good...

Is that a Samsung-made receiver? I was in the local Wal-Mart yesterday and I see them using the exact same receiver in their D* HD showcase. The only different is that the top left D* logo is replaced by Samsung.

Reset the receiver... still the same thing. Also I found that all my local channels (72.5) are all missing -- not just "no signal".

I saw the D* logo on the same ad on MediaCom cable... Looks like it's part of the ad, not a D* addon.

With locals: (AT120 w/o local - 37.99) + (local - 5.99) = 43.98 (TC - 41.99) = 41.99 However, if I can get locals using an antenna, or D* does not provide locals to my area: (TC - 41.99) - (local - 3.00) = 38.99 :no :mad: :( :shocked (AT120 w/o local - 37.99) = 37.99

Why don't you give us a list of what channels AT120 gives to subs that TC does not have? Also the "paid annually" discount? If a person is bounded by the one-year contract and he choose to pay annually, AT120 is cheaper than TC. Less channels on AT120? It's just what they pay for.

Well D* needs this channel move to justified the rate increase for TC without adding new stuff (and bandwidth) -- after all, TC has the highest rate increase, percentage-wise.

But the D* return instruction says you don't have to send back the old remote... you can use your old remote on your new receiver.

Many people I know get a SD HBH too as a replacement. SD HBH is a "Director's Pack", not a "Executive Director's Pack". It might be newer, but just not as good as the GAEBOA.

Just math. I don't believe so. Let's do some nonsense math (I know I am doing trash talk by commenting D* based on E*). From a quote during the Viacom/E* dispute, a 40% rate increase to E* cost only 6 cents more, and that covers 8 of the TC 85 non-shopping video channels, or 0.75 cents...
