No Fx HD or SPEED HD here

I did the online tech support and had Speed HD and FX HD up and running within 5 minutes. It definitely seems the online CSRs have got it together better than the phone CSRs.

What is your signal strength on your appropriate sat and transponder for your locals?

    722 has error 004

I just checked 72 TP 19 and that is 59. TP 21 is 58 so I think I'm dialed in.

    722 has error 004

    I peaked the dish (off a little). The numbers improved to 77 tp5 = 57, 72 tp11 = 59, 61.5 tp12 = 72. I'll keep an eye out for the error 004. If it pops up again, then I know it isn't signal related

    722 has error 004

My 722 with Dish 1000.4 gets Error 004 on occasion when viewing locals. It clears when I switch to OTA. I have L618 downloaded. Sat 77 TP5 (Jacksonville locals) signal is 37. Sat 72 TP11 = 46, Sat 61.5 TP12 = 70. Are the 72 and 77 signals too low? I'm not certain if these are normal. If...

    Difference between 522 and 625?

The only differences are that the 625 has a larger hard drive than the 522 and with the larger hard drive, the 625 has Dish on Demand PPV. The 625 stores movies on the hard drive and they are available for purchase for $4.99 (I think). Also, you can only watch the movie only once.

signal strength dropping constantly, 119 only

Get a compass with an inclinometer and check for line of sight. Line up on the top of the mast and the point in the sky where the sat will be. Your az/el for 119 is 250 degrees magnetic and 24 degrees elevation. 110 sat is higher in the sky with an az/el of 241 degrees/30 degrees elevation...

signal strength dropping constantly, 119 only

Make sure you have at least 10 degrees clear line of sight on either side of center of where your dish is pointing. Dont look down the arm. Line up on the part of the dish that clamps to the mast and that will give you a good azimuth. I like to keep it clear 10 degrees both sides of center to...

    522 loses favorites lists

I have a 522 with L2.38. About a week or so ago I noticed that all of my favorites lists on TV1 and TV2 were all cleared out. The name of the favorites lists were still there, but, no channels are selected. This has happened 4 times so far. Rick

Dish Network installs and dual tuner backfeeds question

Yes, it is possible to use diplexers to run a TV2 backfeed. I have done so on many occasions since the DPP Twin and the DPP44 have come out. I place my diplexer between the DPP Separator and wallplate and place the other diplexer where all of the existing house cables meet. If you are...

    dish equipment question

If you stay with the quad, you would have to dedicate two ports to the 921 or 522 taking two 301s out of the picture. In order to keep all of your 301s and add a dual tuner, you would have to add a DP34 switch to your quad (assuming it is a DP Quad). You would have to have the DP34 inputs...
