My AM21 has a very poor tuner especially on VHF-LO. So I must rely on Directv for CBS on rf4. The tuner on my TV sets bring in all the channels OK when I connect to the OTA antenna directly.

MENU>EXTRAS has a music channel called Pandora. I entered a favorite artists name. Then I hear selections from that artist and other artist that play the same type of music. The sound is excellent through my Bose system. Although it is ad sponsored, I have yet to hear more than two ads per day...

I discovered that when I pushed RECORD while watching a program, my DVR records the complete show from the beginning. I like that.

I notice a very small improvement using the AM21 over the Directv locals. I do see a big improvement when I use the antenna1 connection on that TV.

A similar offer enticed me to Directv in 1998. However the brochure clearly stated, "If you pay for next year, we will give you ST free this year." Thus the verbage was much clearer.

Last summer, CSR did not know anything about an OTA tuner. Stonecold told me what to order. DUH. Then they had it. It cost me $50. I wish I would have ordered 2 units.

My Local on the 8's skips once in a while in HD. Don't know about the SD. I like a loop on the radar also. I have an AM21 with antenna hooked up to the H24 on a smaller TV. We have a local sub-channel that is dedicated to local weater.

I feel some of his pain. He CANCELLED the service. They turned it back on because they wanted the card back even though they know he can't receive a signal. Seems like Directv doesn't really want him as a customer.

My HR24-100 is at 115 degrees. I bought a small fan when I had problems with my DISH 622. I use it occasionally on my Mitsui 57." I don't remember where I bought it, but it was cheap and it is quiet.
