I had this same problem, and messed with TV settings for quite a while. The fix was too simple - I just had to use the original TV remote's curser to move the picture to the center of the screen. (I found this on the FAQ of the TV model's website - maybe try your TV manufacturer / model website )

update - A service tech came to the house today, and told us there are a ton of these issues. I was not home, but my wife said he did some tinkering with the dish outside, and now all is fine (hopefully it stays this way). Thanks for everyone's input.

follow up - At 6:30 tonight, after having a service call scheduled for 12-5, I decided to call Dishnetwork. They first said there was no appointment scheduled, then later said that it was cancelled!!! By Who? Not us for sure - And it would have been nice to tell us!!! And after waiting 2.5 weeks...

I took your advice and emailed dish network.... This is the response : Thank you for your information. We forwarded this email off to the correct team. They responded by saying they did have a few customers in STL complain about this issue. It was a matter of having their dish re-peaked...

Does anybody here have any ideas on how to fix this problem? Should I start a new thread in the DishNetwork Tech forum?

Same problem here! I have the same problem. Started with Fox2 on Sun/Mon, and NBC too. CBS and ABC are fine. I can't get local ch 2 or 5 in HD anywhere, or in SD on ch 2 or 5, but can get SD on ch8592 and 8593. I spent a while with Tech support and could not get anything resolved. Said...

This has only happened within the past day or two... And changing the RF/line does not help much at all. Has anyone else noticed this sudden volume difference between HD/SD just in the past couple days?

So there is no way around this? I just noticed in the past few days with my 622 a huge volume difference between SD and HD channels. When watching a HD channel barely loud enough to hear, then switch to SD channel, it is so loud that it scares me!

Great news! per the latest email from E* - "Great news! I just received word that we will be carrying the NHL playoffs in HD on the Versus channel." THANK YOU DISHNETWORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

I emailed the company this morning - Basically, they said that they are considering carrying the NHL playoff games on VS in HD as they did last year, but have not yet reached a decision. They said that they might know more in a day or two. Lets hope they carry them!!!!!
