I have the same question. When I activated my newly bought 722 receiver two weeks ago, the customer representative lady told me that there will be extra $12.00 for the new receiver. Is she correct?

I am not sure if the DVR can recognize a 6TB hard drive? But no matter what, I wouldn't use a 6TB drive. If something goes corrupt, you lose everything. Also, it will take forever to format 6TB.

It is just a thought. If this feature is available, I would record my favorite shows in highest quality setting and the others in standard quality.

I am wondering whether there are any quality differences between playing recorded shows from the DVR and watching live TV. In TIVO recorders, you can set the recording quality. why is this feature not available to dish receivers?
