I pay Dish $150 per month for service and I am leaving this Friday to DirecTV. I don't care about their niche channels and want some decent sport IN HD (Universal Sports for one)! I didnt have any problems with Dish but it all comes down to programming. Dish keeps messing around with this too...

Mlb.tv does block the twins in mn (same as all markets). I would have directv if it were not for a huge willow tree in my back yard that blocks the satellite. Dish is just enough to the SW. Lucky me I guess... Did anyone else notice Charter is not on the list of providers that carry these games?

I live in northern MN and typically get all games on Fox Sports North (ch 436). When I switch to the channel for todays game it says it's not availble in my area. Anyone know why? I cannot find it on any other channel. I did notice on MLB.com that the game is also being shown on the MLB...

Hit the format button on your remote. On mine is the "*" button in the lower left corner. If you did this already I apologize. There is no change on my Dish HD.

One other question. What does this do to Dish subscribers who may subscribe to Center Ice? Since many of the games are from the Fox Regionals, would this issue affect that program?

I cant say Im a Charlie mark but this type of thing doesnt really bug me much. I have, what, 220 other channels to watch? Im just glad the bball season is pretty much over so I dont miss my MN Twins! PS I would like all ESPN channels in HD at some point though! :)

Apples arrogance is amazing. They have success and then basically tell the customer to go pack dirt. I don't think this is the end of Apple as some articles have said but I think people will be more wary going forward.

I had them come out a few weeks back and put in an additional receiver. I was told the service call would be $99 without DHPP or $15 with DHPP. Not sure if there is any time they would come out and not charge you the $15 if you have DHPP.

I hate to say it but your not going to win. I know it's principal but it's part of doing business with big companies. I would just eat it and move on. No reason to go through the pain of canceling and changing simply "to show Dish". No one there will loose sleep. Plus you will see stories...

Big mistake not having a TV2 option. I would pick one up but need to connect to 2 TV's. And how come the tag under my name does not list me as a pub member / supporter? EDIT: It's because I let my subscription expire. Fixed that! :)
