How do I tell which port is 3.0 and which is 2.0?

You do if you use the antenna Dish supplies, but not if you use any other ota antenna.

I also have fios here and comcast at my summer house and never have the software issues that I have with dish receivers.

I have 1 Hopper and 3 Joeys. The problem is only on 1 of the Joey. When I scroll up the guide in my favorites the box that moves over the programs goes away when it reaches 412 and the sub channels 412-24 NESN and 412-28 alt. This makes it impossible to record for there is no box visible...

The biggest reason I use Dish is for the OTA included in the guide and an extra tuner. This is terrible. Wish I never upgraded to the Hopper 3.

The old longer guide was a plus. That was one of the features I liked over Fios.

I upgraded to Hopper 3 recently and the caller id does not appear on TV screen and there is no icon in setup displaying a list of calls.

When I attach a Segate 1 g Flex drive it is not seen by the Hopper. Any suggestions? What is the best brand and model for compatibility?

HDMI CEC will not work with certain setups

I've reformatted it, only one partition on drive, not sure what the problem might be. Works great on computer. Could just be incompatible for some reason. Wish Dish would be more universal with their add on stuff. Even their HDMI is quirky.

This Segate drive is externally powered

I am attempting to use a Segate flex drive with my Hopper. When I plug usb into Hopper the Hopper doesn't see the HD. Does the HD drive have to be formatted first? What am I doing wrong? I used a Western Digital before and seemed to just plug it in.

Hard wired no usb wifi

I am having problems with my Joey. OTA pixilates, and menu runs slow. This is conventional Hopper no internal sling, and Joey is also standard. I want to make sure I have latest software on both.

Has anyone received program promotion (discounts) after initial two years contract expires. I am a long time Dish customer so I did not receive a new customer discount when I upgraded to the Hopper Joey? If not no incentive to sign another two year contract.

Is it better to run two down leads from an antenna or one down lead and use a splitter?
