Agreed in general, but there are cases where a term has been found unconscionable in consumer contracts not involving basic needs and where alternatives were available. E.g., credit card agreements, rental car agreements, cell phone contracts. Depends to some extent on how unfair the term is...

I have a ReplayTV so don't really care about a DVR, at least not if it means paying a $6 per month DVR fee. So if DVR is not an issue, should I buy a 222k instead of paying the $100 upgrade fee? @anonymouse99 - My understanding is that a 222 is the same as a 722 except no DVR.

Assuming they insist on the $100 upgrade fee, would I be better off just buying a 222K on eBay? It seems they are available new for $100 or less.

With the Multi-Sport package, you get all the Fox regional sports channels, including Fox Sports South on ch. 420, but MLB baseball and some other events are blacked out, except the events on your local Fox Sports channel, which you would get even without Multi-Sports. At least that's the way...

I have AT120+, so NFL Net, NBA TV and NHL Net (plus ESPN Classic) were all new to me. You are right about 404 and 405, I had forgotten about them. So, as discussed previously in this thread, folks with AT200 and higher have to pay twice for NFL Net, NBA TV and NHL Net if they want Multi-Sport.
