your missing software....go to your hopper.....hit menu, settings, network settings, go to tests, view counters, and page down to bottom of screen...look for a phrase CLIENT ID (it will give you numbers), you might have to push page up probably twice to see it..just keep paging up till you...

got the announcement last week...hopefully dish comes with there own type of broadband instead of using other companies internet service to run our system...

i'm a in house tech....i feel kinda bad for not being able to explain things on the hopper...our training suck..we basically learned how to do the install and thats it...we even mention if there is a handout for us to follow so we don't feel stupid when we are at a customer house, but they don't...

they should have waited for atleast a few copies of the manual before releasing it...atleast with a hard copy, a customer can actually skim through it while the system is being DL..not all customers have access to a computer or be able to login to there account especially if the account holder...

you will need a wifi adpater (net gear) which dish carries to run it wireless...or get a sling link, one end of ethernet cable goes to one of the ports in the router and the other in goes in to the sling link device, which plugs into the wall outlet. it sends internet connection through the wall...

with those receivers you should be running a 1000.2 LNB...we don't install 1K4 no more. we switch back to 1K2...the only time we would use 1K4 is if the customer already has one on site and has LNB issues...

rca(composite) cable from 222k video/audio out to VCR input, then rca's out from vcr to tv inputs....on vcr change input to either L1 or L2..depends what input on your vcr

like GOKARTERGO mention..its part of dish network QAS tech, who comes out to check the quality of the install...he usually drops by after a tech is done with his job...he takes pictures and has a check list to make sure the install was done to DishNetwork standards...if it was not done the right...
