    Bad experience with sales agents

First agent said that the receiver I have is tied to another account and cannot be activated. I told him that I had just purchased it from a Ebay user, and asked him what I should do... he couldn't tell me, I asked for a supervisor, he couldn't do that, he then said he would put me through to...

    New activation question(s)

I did a self-install with a 211k receiver and want to activate the Welcome Pack only on a pay as you go service. I called in to do it and the rep/agent said that they couldn't do it, that you already had to be a customer to get the Welcome Pack. Please help, tell me how I can do this, can I do...

Nice 10 mesh dish available free, Orlando

Sorry Charlie..lol!! (couldn't resist) Anyway, I am truly sorry, wish we were closer, I'd have made as many trips as it took. And, wish I was younger and my wife was healthier, I would have done it. Even if I never used the dish, just to save it from the scrap yard!! Hell to get old and disabled!

Nice 10 mesh dish available free, Orlando

Wish someone would go get this dish. I was ready to go today, but couldn't resolve the logistics of it. He's getting frustrated and is ready to take it to the scrap yard.

Anyone ever used this dish? Viking Satcom 6' Prime Focus

I'm a cheapskate with a limited number of friends and contacts. So, I got one of the Sadoun 6 footers, but I put it up for C-band only... I also put up a cheap WSI 90-95cm dish for Ku. I did it that way hoping that having dedicated dishes would give me a little better performance than trying to...

FTA reciever that will play rtsp streams?

What if you don't do touchscreens, and you don't know Android from Deltoid? But, you just want to scan everything for any signals you can get, radio, tv, sat, and IP, and do some web browsing too! Would this A3 be good for me? How is the blind scanning? ... sorry to hijack the thread ;)

    HDVR1200 updates ??

tHanks, Primestar, I have both, and have currently switched the Micro back in in place of the HDVR1200.... shame these things seem to wither on the vine, there was good promise there... it's basically the same as an X2 Premium, which I have and absolutely love how it works. Same thing happened...

    HDVR1200 updates ??

I have the HDVR1200 and have been waiting for the FTA hobbiest firmware and channel manager as was mentioned in some threads ... has it come out? did I miss it? where can I get it? Is anyone still supporting this receiver for FTA use? FYI.. I just tried to do the update via satellite, and it...

SYNOQ SR1: new FTA receiver from DMS International

I have both an X2 and HDVR1200... for me, the X2 works better, but I only use the basic functions, none of the "features". Basically I scan and tune and watch TV. For that the X2 seems more responsive and more intuitive in the controls(remote keys). So easy to switch to a Sat, delete all TP's...

Need SatelliteGuys Assistance for C-band Feedhorn Alignment Tool Project

Right, I remember those, not much more than an old transistor radio antenna screwed to a cup..LOL They were shaky and flimsy. I was thinking on those lines, but brought up to todays technology level. I was thinking a problem with the laser is, or could be, that you can aim a dot at a point from...

Need SatelliteGuys Assistance for C-band Feedhorn Alignment Tool Project

Brian, Great idea. How about instead of a laser pointer, use a telescoping probe/ruler with a magnetic disc at the end to help hold it in place on metal dishes, make it reversible with non-slip surface on one side to help keep it positioned while you measure. This would give you the ability...

I guess I was about 7 years old. My uncle was the caretaker of a large house and grounds which was essentially just a summer home for some very well to do people. He was allowed to use the home for a family gathering at Christmas. I remember a huge Christmas tree in this living room that was...

Sadoun vs WSI cs Fortec 1.8m panel dish

Be interested to know and see where you applied the 4 washers. Can you post a pic or two? Also, the panels, I think, once they are all connected together should stay probably rigid enough.. just my $.02 Also, need to consider, might not be a good idea if any mod(s) add too much weight.

Sadoun vs WSI cs Fortec 1.8m panel dish

I guess it's kind of in the same category as a big-engined RWD car with no frills. A few of us really like them, but.... I've often wondered if the reception of C-band signals could be accomplished any easier, or, better, by using any sort of new technology? Or, is a big parabolic dish still...

    GEOSATpro HDVR1200 -- random lockups

No, that's not it. I have both receivers, love them both. I wonder if X2 firmware will work in the HDVR1200?? -- I'd try it if I knew I could restore it if it didn't work... anybody know??? Just went back and bumped up the original thread where I described what was/is happening, it's the same...
