Thank you for all the replies! It is the mini that I have been resetting. I was worried if I pushed the red button on the main receiver I would lose all recorded programs. From Google it seems like that's not the case. I've watched it start up and nothing is scrambled until it is fully back on...

Nope, can't seem to get fox OR cw ota. Any idea how close I have to be to get cw channel? If I "move" closer to home how close do I have to be? I'm in a pretty rural area and I'm not sure if I could get close enough to get fox from a different station but also still get cw.

Probably because that would have been the intelligent thing to do lol. I had no idea I wouldn't be able to get certain channels. I don't know how all that stuff works and I wanted fox back. Guess in a couple weeks I'll move back and deal without fox until they get everything worked out. Thanks...

Because of the loss of my local fox station, and the fact that it could be a while before it comes back, I called directv and "moved" just outside of LA a couple days ago. I now have all LA based local channels. My problem is this...I click on the CW channel (KTLA channel 5) and it says "(Name...

The directv website is wrong because after putting in my address it said I could get fox LA, so I called and they said no, that the fcc hasn't unlocked it. (Whatever that means). So, I'm just dealing without it. As it turns out, I CAN live without fox (though I'd really prefer to have it back) :)

Okay thanks, that's what I thought. I wish I would have known about that before the rules changed. I would love to have different feeds of the main networks.

How did you get fox NY and LA? Directv told me that the fcc has laws that I cannot get a different fox feed. Or did you have those before that law was made?

I don't have a converter box. My tv has a tuner in it (I think that's what it's called). I do the auto scan for channels and I can get 13 channels with the antenna hooked up. I get the networks (ABC, NBC, CBS), a few pbs channels, and a few that I'm not sure what they are. None of them are fox...

Thank you Iceberg. I guess I'll go wriggle my antenna around some more. Kinda weird that I can get all the networks except fox, when there is a fox out of grangeville (that's only about 20 miles) plus I live on a prairie so there's no trees to block views or anything. Thanks again for your help!
