Yes, I see that they ARE all offset. I guess I just assumed they were centered like the big ones. With them being smaller, I didn't notice the difference. Thanks for the help. Lol....you said "So don't read so much that you get so confused you can't even know which way to turn!" HAH!! I'm...

    Dish Network Dish

Yes, I can see where the extra 6 or so inches would be worth the money if the total signals are more than doubled. While I have been going from one vendor to another, checking out all they have to offer, etc., I came across "off-set dish" when looking at dishes. I googled it and besides...

I went to the link you sent and looked around. Yes, the 36" one you spoke of seems like a good price. I saw that they also have a 30" listed as for DirecTV for $35 + $20 shipping. Neither one includes the LNB. I was wondering if that would be suitable for FTA, especially since it is more than...

    Dish Network Dish

Since using any of the dishes I have from Dish and DirecTV would require an experienced person to get it set up, I think I'll just get a 36" dish. As far as your question on which receiver I want....Lol, I have no idea. Truth be told, at this point, I don't know one from the other. I would like...

    Dish Network Dish

Thanks for the info. I had hoped I would be able to use one of the 2 I already have, just to get started. But since that seems unlikely, I'll get a 36" as soon as I can.

    Dish Network Dish

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.... Ok, I did as you asked and besides DirecTV it says Multi-Satellite. I can't tell if it's bigger than Dish or not;DirecTV is pole mounted about 4 feet off the ground and Dish is mounted high up on the end of the garage so I can't really tell. And...

    Dish Network Dish

I'm not really sure if it is or not. I think it only says DirecTV on it. I'll check to make sure tomorrow and let you know. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I am SOO new to this and am trying to learn, but at this point I pretty much know nothing. Thanks

What About Another Brand Dish Besides the old Dish Network dish, I also have a DirecTV dish. I went from Dish to DirecTV and I'm still subscribed to them but the contract will expire this coming February. Can I use the DirecTV dish for FTA? Also, do I need to post a picture of it? Thanks.

    Dish Network Dish

I'm a brand newbie in the field of FTA. Didn't know it existed til recently. Now, I'm determined to learn about all this and get going on getting it for myself. Ok, question....can a Dish Network dish, still mounted and still has the cables running to the house, be used for FTA? I have one...
